About CMTA
The California Medical Transportation Association (CMTA) is a statewide organization representing non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers throughout California. CMTA serves as a unified voice for companies that deliver safe, timely, and reliable access to medical care.
CMTA was established to address the regulatory, operational, and reimbursement challenges facing NEMT providers. The association is focused on protecting the long-term sustainability of the industry while promoting high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
By working directly with state agencies, legislators, and industry partners, CMTA advocates for fair Medi-Cal reimbursement, practical regulations, and policies grounded in real-world transportation operations. CMTA also provides education and resources to help providers remain compliant and efficient.
CMTA supports both small and large providers offering ambulatory, wheelchair, and gurney transportation services through advocacy, education, and industry collaboration.
